Martin Sven Moritz is a Hamburg-based composer whose work moves between contemporary classical and song-based forms, influenced by film music, pop, jazz, and musical theatre. Guided by the belief that a melody transcends genre, his music shapes moments of memory and feeling into expressive musical storytelling, deepened through close collaboration with performers and visual artists.

Martin’s words:

“To me, composing is a form of poetry — a way of shaping emotion into melody. Yet I’m always thinking beyond the composition itself. When a pianist, a painter, or a filmmaker joins in, the music gains another dimension, something that can be felt, seen, and remembered. Creating beautiful art together gives the music even deeper meaning. It’s about sharing something human, passing on warmth and kindness, and becoming part of something that brings light into the world.
